Komatsu bucket tooth points and weld-on adapters - PC200 and PC300 class GET on a workshop bench

Most Komatsu tooth enquiries start the same way: "I need teeth for a PC300." That gets you partway. The tooth point is decided by the machine class and rarely changes, but the adapter behind it — the weld-on shank welded to the bucket lip — is decided by the bucket and bought by gap width. Two PC300s on the same site can take different shanks while using the identical tooth and pin. Here is the chain, class by class, checked against Komatsu parts listings and aftermarket wear-parts catalogues on 2 October 2026.

The tooth number is fixed. The adapter is not.

A Komatsu GET assembly is three parts doing three jobs. The tooth point does the digging and wears out. The pin and retainer hold it on - on PC200 and PC300 class teeth the pin goes in from the side, so the tooth is referred to as side-pinned. The adapter is welded to the bucket lip and is the part that survives several sets of teeth.

Because the adapter is welded to the bucket rather than fitted to the machine, it can be built for different bucket lips — which is why catalogues sell the PC300 shank as PC300-40, -45, -50 and -55. The number after the machine class is the gap, in millimetres, between the straps where the tooth nose seats. Order "a PC300 adapter" and the supplier guesses; order "207-939-3120, 45 mm gap" and there is nothing to guess.

One caveat worth stating plainly: catalogue tip tables do not agree on the small-class numbering, and some list 202-70-12130 for the PC120 rather than the PC100. On the PC60 / PC100 end, send the machine model and a photo of the tooth before ordering in volume. The PC200 and PC300 rows above are consistent across the sources we checked.

PC200: one pin, four profiles

The PC200 family is the most forgiving of the Komatsu ranges, because the profiles share the pin and the adapter. If you run standard teeth on the front and rock chisels on the corners, one pin number covers the lot.

ProfileCatalogue weightWhere it earns its keep
205-70-19570 standard10.47 lb / 4.75 kg (one wear-parts catalogue); 4.3 kg (a supplier tip table); about 4.8 kg (a US dealer)Mixed soil, sand and gravel - the general-purpose tooth

205-70-19570RC (rock chisel)approx. 11.9 lb / 5.4 kg; 48-52 HRC with impact value above 20 J per supplier dataRock, broken concrete, hard trenching
205-70-19570TL (tiger long)approx. 12.1 lb / 5.5 kgLong, narrow tip for penetration in sticky clay

The tooth carries a 75 x 80 mm pocket with a 30 mm pin hole in the aftermarket data we hold — that is the hole in the tooth, not the pin diameter, a mix-up we see repeated in online listings. PC200 adapters include 20Y-70-14520 (a weld-on adapter for a 1 1/4 in / about 32 mm lip, per a US dealer), 205-939-7120 (quoted as 30 / 35 / 40 mm), 20Y-939-1180 (40 mm) and 20Y-934-2211 (listed as a PC210 shank in 40 and 45 mm).

PC300: the same tooth on four different shanks

This is where orders go wrong. 207-70-14151 is the standard dirt tip for the PC300 through PC360 class, listed in profiles RC, RC-F, TL, SYL, RCK and RCT. One supplier gives its dimensions as 120 mm wide, 114 mm high and 255 mm long. But the shank it sits on comes in four gap widths, and the price and the fit both change with the gap.

The tooth weight on this class is quoted between 6.2 kg and 6.8 kg, and 7 kg (15.43 lb) by one supplier, so treat any single figure as an estimate — useful for freight maths, useless for fitment.

PC400 and the small end

The PC400 class runs tooth 208-70-14152 with pin 09244-03036 on the 208-939-3120 shank, a 60 mm gap adapter, with the long tip 208-70-14270 listed at 12.5 kg. The small end is messier: the PC60 and PC100 take much smaller teeth — numbers in circulation include 20X-70-14160 (2.2-2.3 kg) and 202-70-12130 (4 kg, listed for the PC120) on a roughly 20 mm shank — and the catalogue numbering is less consistent, so a photo of the old tooth settles it faster than any number.

Two numbers, one pin

Komatsu pins are written two ways, and suppliers quote whichever is on their own list. The PC300 pin is the clearest case: 175-78-21810 and 09244-02516 are the same item — 25 mm diameter, 120 mm long, 27 mm head, quoted at 0.42-0.43 kg. The formats swap for other pins too: 092-44-02496 and 09244-02496 are the same PC200 pin. Quote both forms on the enquiry and you will not lose a day to a search that returns nothing.

One note on the weights above: cast weight depends on patterns, pouring, and whether a supplier weighs bare castings or packed parts, so one number can wander by a kilo between catalogues. None of those figures is a fitment specification — the pin diameter, the pin hole, the pocket and the adapter nose decide that. We print the ranges because they are what the trade quotes, and we will not publish a single "official" weight we cannot stand behind.

What to measure before you order

  1. Pin hole and pin: on PC200-class teeth the pin hole in the tooth runs about 30 mm, while the pin itself is smaller. Measure both.
  2. Adapter gap: the distance between the straps where the tooth nose seats - the 40 to 55 mm question on a PC300.
  3. Pocket width and height: 75 x 80 mm on the PC200 tooth in the data we hold; other classes differ.
  4. Profile: standard, RC or TL, and how many of each position. Corners wear faster than the centre.
  5. Machine and serial: the model plate, plus a photo of the tooth still on the bucket. This catches the cases where a bucket has been rebuilt with a different shank.

Send those five items to sales@cn-machinery.com or WhatsApp +86 136 1161 8158 and we will cross-reference tooth, pin and shank together. We supply aftermarket GET cross-referenced to the Komatsu numbers — not genuine Komatsu parts — and we do not quote wear life in hours, because your ground, your operator and your bucket decide that.

FAQ

What bucket tooth fits a Komatsu PC200?

205-70-19570, a side-pinned dirt tooth held with pin 092-44-02496 and a snap ring. The PC200-7 bucket grouping in the parts listings carries the tooth point and that pin together. Rock chisel and tiger long profiles fit the same adapter and use the same pin.

Is 175-78-21810 the same part as 09244-02516?

Yes. Both numbers are used for the PC300-class tooth pin: 25 mm diameter, 120 mm long, with a 27 mm head, quoted at 0.42-0.43 kg in the catalogues. Quote both numbers on the enquiry.

Why does one PC300 need a 45 mm adapter and another a 50 mm?

Because the adapter is welded to the bucket lip, not fitted to the machine. The tooth is the same; the shank is sold by gap width, and PC300-40, -45, -50 and -55 all appear in supplier catalogues.

Do the catalogue weights match Komatsu's own figures?

Not always. The same PC300 tooth is quoted at 6.2, 6.5, 6.8 and 7 kg by different suppliers. Treat catalogue weight as a freight estimate; pin diameter, pin hole and adapter nose decide fitment.
