The EX200 is a 20-tonne machine that refuses to retire. Hitachi's own brochure data for the Super EX-V puts the EX200-5 at 18,800 kg, the EX200LC-5 at 20,000 kg and the EX210H-5 at 19,800 kg, on bucket capacities from 0.51 to 1.20 m³ PCSA heaped (Hitachi Construction Machinery brochure KS-E163, read 1 October 2026). Those machines are still working in Africa, the Middle East and South-East Asia - often on a second or third bucket, which is when tooth numbers stop matching.
1. Why an EX200 Order Usually Goes Wrong
Ask three suppliers for "EX200 bucket teeth" and you get two answers: 35S, or 205-70-19570 - both ZX200-220 numbers, the teeth Chinese factories stock deepest and quote fastest, even when they do not fit the bucket in the photograph.
The EX200 / EX210 family tooth has its own number, and it is not either of those.
2. The EX200 / EX210 Tooth System, by Part Number
The numbers below are those used for this family in Hitachi-format aftermarket catalogues - the listings that carry the Tata Hitachi and Hitachi-FIAT EX200 machines - read 1 October 2026. Weights are the suppliers' own figures, and they vary.
| Part | Role | Catalogue weight | Hardware it takes |
|---|---|---|---|
| TB00705 (TB-00705, 130410) | Standard digging tooth, vertical lock pin, EX200 / EX210 | 6.6 kg to 9 kg across the supplier listings read | Pin and retainer EX210PN |
| TB00705RC | Rock chisel tip for the same family - low impact, high abrasion ground | 7.3 kg to 7.9 kg in one supplier's listings | Pin and retainer EX210PN |
| TB00704 | Weld-on two-strap adapter, 40 mm gap | 12.3 kg (spec block) / 10.8 kg (same site's adapter table) | Tooth TB00705 / TB00705RC |
| EX210PN | Pin and retainer for the tooth | not published in the catalogues read | - |
| 2014503 / 2014504 | LH / RH bolt-on side cutter, 6 holes | 13.3 kg (table) to 14.1 kg (spec), 15 kg in a third listing | - |
Two things matter here. The 6.6 kg to 9 kg spread on one part number means different castings sell under the same name - ask what your supplier ships and weigh a sample. And the hardware is catalogued with the tooth as EX210PN: order it on the same line, because a tooth without its correct pin comes off on the first shift.
3. TB00705 Against the ZX200 Tooth: Nothing Interchanges
This is where the money is lost, so here is the pair side by side. The ZX200-220 numbers are from Hitachi Construction Machinery's own Selected Parts list for the class, read 1 October 2026.
| Role | EX200 / EX210 (catalogue) | ZX200-220 (Hitachi's own list) | Interchangeable? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard tooth | TB00705 | 35S (4427919) or 205-70-19570 | No |
| Rock tooth | TB00705RC | PC200RC-N (Hitachi ref XP00000322PS) | No |
| Weld-on adapter | TB00704 - two-strap, 40 mm gap | 20Y-934-2211, V29, F3610T-35 | No |
| Pin and lock | EX210PN pin and retainer | 4501627 (35PN) with rubber lock 4501625 (35-40LK), or side pin 09244-02496 | No |
| Side cutter pair | 2014503 / 2014504 | 2014503 / 2014504 (refs 2014503PS / 2014504PS) | Yes |
Nothing carries over because of the casting geometry, not the machine size. The TB00705 tooth is held by a pin driven down through its top, on a two-strap adapter with a 40 mm gap. The 35S point is a different top-pinned system with its own lock pin and rubber lock; the 205-70-19570 is side-pinned, with a horizontal pin through the tooth and nose. A tooth from one family will not seat on the nose of another, and forcing it is how adapters get cracked.
If your machine plate says EX200 but the bucket carries a horizontal side pin, you are not on the TB00705 family - and the guide for the pair you are running is Hitachi ZX200 bucket teeth: 35S vs 205-70-19570.
4. The One Part the EX200 and ZX200 Share
The bolt-on side cutters are the exception. Fitment lists for 2014503 / 2014504 run from the EX200, EX200-2, EX200-3, EX200-5 and EX210 up through ZX180 to ZX240, and Hitachi's own Selected Parts list carries 2014503PS / 2014504PS for the ZX200-220 class. They are 6-hole bolt-on cutters quoted at 13.3 kg to 15 kg depending on whose catalogue you read (13.3 kg in one table, 14.1 kg in that supplier's spec block, 15 kg at a second factory, 14.4 kg in a US dealer's listing converted from pounds).
One warning that saves a container of wrong parts: the left/right labelling of these two numbers is not consistent across the trade. One factory titles its page "2014503 LH side cutter"; a US dealer lists the same number as RH, and some catalogues show a separate EX200R / EX200L pair at 13.5 kg. Send a photo of the bucket corner with the old cutter bolted on and order by position.
5. Five Checks Before the Order Leaves
| Check | What to look at | What it settles |
|---|---|---|
| Pin direction | Pin driven down through the top of the tooth, or pushed in from the side | Top pin = TB00705 / EX210PN family. Side pin = the 35S or 205-70-19570 families |
| Pin diameter and length | Measure the old pin with a caliper, not a tape | Catalogues give EX210PN as a number, not a dimension - the measurement is what protects you |
| Adapter nose | Width at the pin line, and the gap on the two-strap weld-on shank | A tooth that rocks on the nose will break the adapter, not the tooth |
| Tooth count and spacing | Count the pockets; check whether the bucket has been re-lipped | An EX200 bucket may have been rebuilt with a different nose set |
| Side cutter holes | 6-hole pattern, cutter length, and which end is left | Takes the LH / RH labelling problem out of the order |
A photo of the adapter nose, tooth and pin, plus the model and serial prefix, confirms the family before we quote.
6. What We Publish, and What We Do Not
We publish numbers that can be checked: the EX200 figures come from Hitachi-format aftermarket catalogues read 1 October 2026, the ZX200-220 rows from Hitachi's own Selected Parts list, and every weight is marked a catalogue figure, not a certified dimension.
We do not publish prices or wear life in hours: price moves with quantity, profile mix, hardware and destination port, and wear life depends on your ground, your operator and the state of the adapter nose. Send the machine details and the quantity.
FAQ
Q: What bucket teeth fit a Hitachi EX200?
A: In the Hitachi-format catalogues, TB00705 for the standard tooth and TB00705RC for the rock chisel, on the weld-on adapter TB00704, pinned with EX210PN. Quoted weights for TB00705 run from 6.6 kg to 9 kg, so confirm against your own tooth.
Q: Is TB00705 the same tooth as the ZX200 35S?
A: No. TB00705 is a top-pinned EX200 / EX210 family tooth on the TB00704 two-strap adapter. The ZX200-220 class takes the 35S point 4427919 with lock pin 4501627 and rubber lock 4501625, or the side-pinned 205-70-19570. Nothing interchanges.
Q: Do the 2014503 / 2014504 side cutters fit both machines?
A: Yes - that is the shared part. They are 6-hole bolt-on cutters listed from the EX200 family up through ZX240, and Hitachi's own list carries 2014503PS / 2014504PS for the ZX200-220 class. Suppliers disagree on which number is left-hand, so order by position with a photo.
Q: Are these genuine Hitachi parts?
A: No. They are aftermarket replacements cross-referenced to the Hitachi numbers, and we describe them that way. Ask for the hardness and impact figures on the packing list.
