Three Catalogues, Two Lengths
Every source that carries 11110175 agrees on the shape: a round radial-seal element, closed at the bottom, with a mesh guard around pleated cellulose. The length is where they separate. Donaldson prints 461 mm for the equivalent P778905, Inline Filters prints 472 mm, EXCO prints 472.3 mm and Pallman prints both numbers on the same page — 460 mm element and 475 mm overall. That last pair is the explanation: one figure is the element, the other includes the end caps and the seal.
For a buyer, the number that decides fitment is the bore, not the length. 131 mm is what seals on the outlet neck, and an element with a similar outside diameter but a different bore will not seat however well it fits the can. Measure the old one cap to cap and order against the larger published figure.

Seating, Not Tightening
There is no clamp and no torque figure on this element — the radial seal holds it. Push it in until the seal lip is seated on the outlet neck, then check with a finger that it has gone in square. An element that stops 5 mm short looks fitted, and it leaks at the lip, which is exactly where the safety element behind it earns its keep.
While the lid is off, two other checks cost nothing: the outlet neck the seal lands on (score marks from a previous element leak past a new one as readily as an old one) and the dust valve on the bottom of the housing. A missing or perished valve dumps the housing's collected dust back into the intake, and the new element takes the blame. Grease or oil on the seal lip attracts dust and is not recommended — the seal is designed to run dry.
Why It Is Also Sold as a JCB, Liebherr and John Deere Filter
The element is a common platform part, and the rest of the industry numbers it their own way. The same physical filter is sold as JCB 32925404, John Deere AT196824, Liebherr 7623371, Case 73187602 and Komatsu 5036781 — plus Donaldson P778905, Fleetguard AF25748, Baldwin RS4620, Mann C 24 904/2 and Hifi SA 16212 on the aftermarket side.
On a mixed fleet that matters commercially: one stock line covers a Volvo excavator, a JCB backhoe and a Liebherr wheel loader. It also means a counter hand can hand you the wrong element from a neighbouring number with complete confidence, which is why the bore and the length belong on the order more than the model name does.
The Numbers That Are Housings, Not Filters
Volvo's parts marketplace describes 11110175 as a filter included in air cleaners VOE11110603, VOE14510586 and VOE14346120, and in service kit VOE54804563. Several third-party cross-reference tables print 11110335 and 14510586 as alternates for the element itself, and one prints them against both elements. If a quote for "the filter" comes back at housing money, that is what happened. Ask for the height and the weight before paying.
FAQ
Q: What size is the Volvo 11110175 air filter?
A: 235–237 mm outside, 131 mm bore, 461–472 mm long, 2.29–2.34 kg. Donaldson gives 461 × 237 mm, Inline 472 × 236 mm, EXCO 472.3 × 235.7 mm, Pallman 460 mm element with 475 mm overall. The differences are where the length is measured.
Q: Is 11110175 the outer or the inner element?
A: Outer primary, the larger of the two in the canister. The safety element inside it is 11110176, at roughly 132–135 mm outside and 449–455 mm long.
Q: Which machines take the 11110175 element?
A: Volvo lists the EC200B to EC235D excavators, the EW160C to EW240E wheeled excavators, the L60E to L90H loaders and the DD, SD and ABG compaction and paving ranges. It is also sold against JCB, Liebherr, John Deere and Case machines under their own numbers.
Q: Is this a genuine Volvo filter?
A: No — aftermarket element, cross-referenced for fitment. Volvo is a trademark of its owner. Ask your Volvo dealer for a genuine part by 11110175 if your service contract requires one.
